  • This time, Australian Open 2013 was in Melbourne and It was won by the Novak Djkovic. Novak Djkovic defeat Andy Murray in last game of four sets.
  • If we talk about women category, Championship is won by Victoria Azarenka. 
  • You know about the Fauja Singh. Fauja Singh is oldest Marathon runner. Fauja Singh announced his retirement. This retirement will be after the February Marathon which is in Honkong.
  • To complete 4000 run in  matches is not a big deal.But, to complete these runs in small no of matches is a big deal. Virat Kohli did this. Virat Kohli is on the second position to complete this achievement in world ranking. West Indies cricketer Viven Richards is on first position. 
  • Have you ever heard about the Empire Lecture, It is true. SImon Taufel will be first umpire to do this. He gonna deliver MCC spirit of Cricket Cowdrey Lecture in the upcoming July.
  • In National world Lifting Championship 2013, two different winning awards are given. One for male and another for female. Male winning award is grab by the Himanshu Kumar Chang while female winning National world Lifting award grab by the Manpreet kaur.
  • FIFA Ballon d'Or award declared and this time also Lionel Messi won this. This was the fourth time of Lionel Messi.
  • You also know about CEAT Company name, They declared the Cricketer of the year award and as expected, Virat Kohli Won this award. 
  • This affair is not related to the January. But to remind you as this is most important for India History. You should not miss this date.23 December 2013, on this date Sachin Tendulkar declared his retirement from the INDIAN ODI. This decision was really surprising decision for everyone.
